( keith's feeling like he's going to crawl out of his skin sooner rather than later and is contemplating how to tell lance he's just going to go out for a little bit and pretend that they both don't know what that means. but, lance saves him a little bit of face by going to take care of his "problem" first. and in a way he's grateful for that. he still feels really guilty, but it's mollified, if only for a moment, by lance easing the situation.
he makes a sound of acknowledgment that he heard, but offers no more than that. as soon as he knows lance is gone and out of sight, he's going to bolt out the front and find someplace for himself. it's probably best they don't taint where they're sleeping with their nasties.
but, as he pushes to get up to his feet, lance says something else and keith kind of just stops. he clears his throat. )
Yeah. ( well, on the one hand it's not like they can go without food forever, so they'd have to eat something eventually. but it would've been nice to know before hand so they could've just eaten alone. ) Pretty sure it's more than just a little, but. I get it. ( softer, ) Thanks.
